I've found a friend who died for me

1 Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Verse 1: Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

Without God, all things are done in vain. Nothing is possible without God, yet so many times we think we can do it on our own (i.e. self righteousness).

Verse 2: It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows;

To use your own effort to purposely spend as much time in a day as possible (wake up early, toil/labour (i.e. eat the bread of sorrows [H6089]) until late into the night) is meaningless (i.e. vain, according to strongs H7723).

For so (that is why) He gives His beloved sleep

Sleep here doesn’t refer to literally be in bed sleeping. It refers to rest, peace of mind etc. So the first part of the chapter means it’s meaningless to labour by your own strength, that’s why God gives us rest, as being at rest lets us let God labour for us. Side note: Rest does not mean do nothing. It is a state of mind that is a result of a knowing that God is in control of everything and that He is for you. Rest lets Him work through you.

Verse 3: Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Children: The church is represented by woman in the bible. Children is a result of intimacy between a woman and her groom. So children, or fruit of the womb, is only possible when the church (woman) is intimate with Jesus (groom). And that intimacy is only possible when you know you are righteous before God, because that knowing lets you stand bold before God, allowing intimacy.

Heritage: Refers to inheritence (Strongs H5159)

Therefore: Reward (or blessings) is an inheritence from the Lord as a result of intimacy with Jesus due to the knowing that you are righteous before God.

Verse 4 to 5: Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Arrows are made from wood, cut into strips, shaped out, soaked into oil so that it is not easily waterlogged, heated and burnt over fire, and bundled up and pressed together so that it becomes strong after that. Oil, fire and pressed together represents Jesus as man on Earth: Anointed by God (oil), yet to go through the fire of judgement of God so that we can be tied together with HIm that we can live strong and powerful, offensive and ready to strike any time.

Therefore: Happy is the man who has a quiver full of arrows (things or people or giftings that have encountered Jesus), it shall not make you be ashamed but you dare to speak against your enemies.

Jesus LOVES you soo much, He GAVE His only Son for us.
- love is about GIVING.

Why does He love us? there is no answer, if there is a reason to love us,
then there will also be a reason to hate us.

what is love? God IS LOVE

+ depending on God's love for him.
+ this verse speaks on the divine intimacy of
God.

+ YOU, the daughter/son whom Jesus loves.

Third time:
John 20:2-3
+ You will always outrun the people who boasts about their love
for God.

Forth time:
John 21:4-5
+ It will make you of quick perception.
+ It was John who first saw the Lord.

Fifth time:
John 21:19-20
+ Peter said "like" and not "love".
+ Peter has been humbled when Jesus asked him if he loved Him.
+ Peter never boasted hi love ofr Him anymore.
+ The moment when we uncover His love, they will follow Him unconsciously.

The Son of God who loves ME.

Know the length and the depth of the love of Jesus christ and good things will happen.

Fix your eyes on the Lords love for you which is fixed and constant and will never waver.
+ Then you will be stabilized.
+ Dont put your focus on your love for the Lord.

It does not matter if who says what to you because
you are God's beloved.
+ I am crowned with glory and honour.

Good things will happen to you, through you, and for you!

Everything bad will work together for you GOOD!
+ It took David(beloved) to take down the giant.

Because I am Jesus' girl, i will not steal.
+ The identity is important.

We are accepted in the beloved, whom He is well pleased.

The devil has no power over us for we are BELOVED!

Good things happen to those who knows that God loves them.

2. How much our identity is rooted in the way we look

4. How much we think the people value our bodies, male friends or guys in general see and appreciate our bodies.

+ Let His truth set us free from all these things.

Influenced also by:
1. Media
+ whats the right and wrong way of dressing.
+ makes the girl constantly on self control.

God does not want us to be consious of other people.

DOnt punich yourself. Its not about the looks,
its about how the Lord touched your life.

We represent the King of Kings, so we look good because Daddy made me beautiful.

We have favour and God will put us in the spirit which will rise us up.

Enjoy your meal and do not be obsessed with the amount of calories you intake.
+ Health and quality is more important.

As long as we have health, we are fine. =D

-Listens in grace to people's feelings

Meaning.
> to be affected with same feling as another.

-For we have not high priest(Jesus) which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.

Feel your emotions and let it go across you.

When someone talks to you about how they feel:
> Help people with their feelings with no judgements.
-give advice with only suggestion forms without cutting in,
allow them to finish talking.
-try to let them come to their own conclusion

John 11: 32-35
-Jesus was able to enter into their feelings and understand by
weeping with them. Even though He can revive Lazarus.
-Jesus knows that He was able to revive him, yet he enters into their pain and felt how they felt.

When He feels how you feel,
you are DELIVERED.

When people shares their feelings with you,
they are giving out their poison.
-It is good when they share their feelings with you. It proves that they trust you.
-Hold back your judgements.
-Feel with the person who are sharing with you.

When they share, be with them all eyes and ears and give
them you attention.
-be the person's defender.(even thought they may be at wrong)
-accept their feelings
-don't be a prosecute, don't judge.

When people curse you, you bless them.

-Say things to people who do not deserve it.XD
